Our Review
We were genuinely impressed with the Bedsure Calming Donut Bed. Our 15-pound tester immediately curled up in it and seemed to love the high, supportive walls. The faux fur is incredibly soft, and it held up surprisingly well after a full machine wash. The only minor issue was the non-slip bottom, which slid a bit on our hardwood floors. But for the price and comfort level, it's a fantastic value that our pets adored. It absolutely lives up to the 'calming' name.
Pros
- The faux fur is exceptionally plush and soft, providing a level of comfort we see in much pricier beds.
- High, overstuffed bolsters create a secure 'nest' that genuinely seems to soothe anxious pets.
- It holds its shape and softness remarkably well after a full machine wash and dry cycle, without clumping.
Cons
- The anti-slip bottom isn't very effective on hardwood or tile floors; it still slides with minimal force.
- Sizing runs a bit snug; we feel a 25-pound pet would be a very tight fit in the 23-inch model.
- It arrives vacuum-sealed and takes nearly 24 hours to fully expand and fluff up to its proper shape.
Why We Picked It
This bed earned our Best Overall pick because it delivers premium comfort and a thoughtful design at an unbeatable price. While other beds compromised on either material quality or structural support, the Bedsure excels at both. The plush faux fur is genuinely calming, the high walls offer a true sense of security, and it stands up to machine washing without falling apart. It simply outperformed beds that cost twice as much, making it the clear winner for its exceptional balance of quality, durability, and pet-approved comfort.
Who It's For
This bed is perfect for cats and small dogs up to about 20 pounds who are natural 'nesters'—pets that love to curl up, burrow, and feel encircled. If your pet gets anxious or simply craves a secure spot to retreat, the high, plush walls are a game-changer. It's an excellent choice for owners looking for a stylish, machine-washable bed that provides serious comfort without a hefty price tag. We wouldn't recommend it for heavy chewers or pets who prefer to stretch out flat.
